Thinking Outside the Vial: Incorporating Tinctures and Other Plant Materials Into Your Natural Fragrance Blends
This event will be held in the Mountain Rose Herbs Annex event space - located right next door to the Mountain Rose Herbs Mercantile, located at 152 W. 5th Ave in Eugene, Oregon. Cost: sliding scale suggested donation is $10 to $15.
Participants will take home finished samples of what we make during the course (a complete perfume that includes a tinctured material).
In this class, we’ll learn how to add depth and dimension to your existing essential oil blends by incorporating plant materials in other forms, primarily tinctures and infusions. Basic knowledge of essential oil blending is recommended, but not required. Bring a mug for sipping on some freshly brewed Mountain Rose Herbs Tea!
Lisa Lindner is the founder and formulator behind Firn Handcrafted. Born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Lisa began making natural fragrances while working at First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op in Corvallis. For seven years, she worked in the wellness department and had the awesome responsibility of placing orders with essential oil distributors. Lisa's first scent was a pine-rich blend that was originally inspired by the MacDonald-Dunn forest in Corvallis, and that later evolved into "Cascadia", inspired by camping in any of Oregon's evergreen forests. It's Lisa's hope that these fragrances strengthen your personal relationship to the natural world and inspire you to venture outside so that you, also, can re-connect with your animal subconscious.
